Greening in the Cyber City area

We have recently taken the initiative of planting trees on the median which we intend to extent to other suitable spots as well. The greening initiative provides for branding opportunities as well for member companies since the Society facilitates the branding of tree guards.

Traffic management

We have deployed trained, retired army personnel to regulate traffic. These traffic marshals are working in cooperation with government personnel, and have been able to significantly improve traffic flow.

As a result of our efforts, 8 times out 10, one can go between RBS intersection and Shankar Chowk in 5 min, and we rarely have a logjam or pile-up of 15 min or more (a frequent occurrence previously).We also clear-off illegal parking and vendors on road during peak hours.

As a result of our efforts, discipline at intersections has improved, virtually eliminating deadlocks where nobody moves.  We also clear-off illegally-parked vehicles and vendors on road during peak hours. Traffic flow has improved on most days to what the infrastructure and traafic volume can support.

We are now working with the Adminstration and DLF to improve infrastructure, and expect further, continuing improvements as more and more of the plans are implemented.

Pedestrian Safety

In our endeavor to improve safety of pedestrians in Cyber City the society earmarked three locations in the area where a bulk of the pedestrian traffic was concentrated. These locations where also considered in order to ensure minimal obstruction to the vehicular traffic. Pedestrian crossings where painted on the road and sufficient signage provided for pedestrians to identify these spots. It has provided pedestrians an option to cross the road safely, conveniently, and without obstructing vehicular traffic.
